The Winter Light: Planting Seeds of Joy

Happy New Year Dear Friends!

I hope your festive season was wrapped in love, warmth, and perhaps a bit of magic. As we find ourselves in the scant, silver light of January, I wanted to send you a heartfelt thank you. Your constant support and the way you welcome my paintings into your homes truly means the world to me. It is your encouragement that allows me to keep playing with colour and celebrating the wild beauty of our world.

Currently my studio is caught in that soft, quiet stillness of the new year. Outside, the Devon landscape is sleeping, hinting at the return of the light. The winter sunshine illuminates the specks of glitter and pigment that seem to find their way into every corner of my life – a constant reminder of the light that persists even in the darkest of months. For me this is a deeply potent time; a moment to plant the seeds of intention for this fresh turning of the wheel.

So while the hedgerows are dormant, my heart is already wandering through the tangled meadows of my imagination. Even as the frost bites, my canvases are alive with the promise of spring. I have been busy painting sunshine for your hearts – a brand new collection of small originals. These pieces are miniature kaleidoscopes of joy, created to breathe colour into any nook of your home. Each one is intimate and held with the same love as my largest canvases.
