The Rainbows of February: A Celebration of Light and Love

Dear Friends!

As the first whispers of spring began to stir, my thoughts have turned towards love – not just as a feeling, but as the messy, glorious and invisible thread that binds us. In these heavy global times, that connection feels more vital than ever. As the evenings stretch longer and nature prepares for its great awakening, I’m busy creating my special valentines collection. A tribute to the return of the light.

I find this soulful transition a beautiful time to paint, as cold shadows on winter begin to melt into a season of hope, I find myself in a soulful state of creation. The transition of winter turning to spring is full of promises, a moment for letting go of what no longer serves us and inviting all that nourishes the spirit.

As we move through February, the grassy meadows around my studio are rainbow kaleidoscopes of crimson reds, coral pinks and butter yellows paints. I’m busy working on wild tapestries of a flower meadow in bloom, the encapsulation of hope, joy and tenderness.

This time of year, with valentines in the midst,  is also an opportunity to consciously honour love, both romantic and self-love.  The beautiful energy that holds the quiet roots that hold us steady through the storms. Those unconditional relationships bound by our souls are all vital blooms in the meadows of our hearts.
