A Celebration of Creativity at the Port Eliot Festival in Cornwall
A sparkling highlight to my summer diary is the spectacular Port Eliot Festival in Cornwall; a melting pot of inspiring music, words, frivolity and sunshine. I adore exhibiting my artwork at the Port Eliot Festival, and find its abundance of creativity and inspirational artists exciting and nourishing to my soul. This year it runs from 27th-30th July and I’ve been preparing lots of new pieces for this event. My miniature canvases are little pops of gorgeousness and I will have a brand new selection of these available.
I will be sharing the space with my gorgeous husband Mike who will have some stunning smaller paintings available. His work, like him, is warm, interesting and very funny. I love his work. We will also have some exquisite glass sculptures made by my very dear friend Louise Durham on our stall. Her work celebrates light and colour and is truly beautiful.
For those who haven’t yet experienced the magic of Port Eliot, this quote sums it up…
“It’s like falling from the sky into a magic garden where you will be constantly surprised and delighted; where you can drink, dance, discuss, dress up, camp, explore, get lost, fall asleep under the stars to the sound of Andrew Weatherall, and wake up to the ringing of church bells.”
Cornwall’s Artsy Port Eliot Festival
The stunning parkland in St Germans takes in rolling pastures, ancient woodland, stunning estuary and river views, shady rhododendron groves, hidden mazes and walled gardens – it’s a treat for the senses to camp here and indulge in so much natural beauty.
Cornwall has seduced many a visitor with its maverick, proudly independent spirit; its rugged nature and seemingly endless array of natural beauty spots and culinary gems evoke a powerful magnetism. The Port Eliot Estate, situated at the gateway to Cornwall in Cornwall’s ‘forgotten corner’, embodies this bohemian spirit and the annual festival is the zenith of this. The Port Eliot Festival in Cornwall is a heady whirl of words, music, imagination, ideas, nature, food, fashion, flowers, laughter, exploration, fun and celebrates summertime! I am honoured to be part of this ball of fizzing creativity and passion, and adore fully immersing myself in the contagious creative energy of my peers at the Port Eliot Festival.
Some tickets are still available online, so be sure to get involved in what is sure to be a wonderful festival! Hopefully see you there!
Love and blessings,
Yvonne xx
