My Christmas Message to Thank You All For Your Support

Well what a wonderfully busy whirlwind-of-a-year it has been!

This year has been so magical and utterly fulfilling; from New York to Formentera to Venice! I feel I have been saturated in beautiful cultures, cuisine and art. It is important for me that I constantly involve myself in things that inspire my practice and this year’s travels have fed into both my heart and palette.

I have loved my exhibitions and Open Studios events this year which have provided me with the honour to meet so many of you in person. It is always such a privilege to be part of the journey of someone purchasing my paintings. It makes what I do worthwhile.

The sparkling creativity of the UK’s summer festivals were also wonderful. I love being part of this colourful community and pushing the boundaries of how we can make this planet a better place.  I believe we really do need so much love and that it is possible to change things with this power.

This year has also brought exciting new collaborations with like-minded businesses and I have celebrated the launch of my new interiors products range. However the jewel in my year has been the opening of my very own art gallery in Totnes. I would love to meet you there!

I’m so grateful to you all for your ongoing support.  It means so much to me . Thank you.  Truly.

Looking Ahead to 2017

I’m very excited about how my art is growing. I’m really excited about all the possibilities which present themselves and I so value the fabulous team that supports me.

My glittering paintings of wildflowers celebrate the beauty of nature found in the Devon countryside and beyond… I literally pour myself and my dreams, hopes and fears onto the canvas and it is my offering to the world. It is my poetry and my stand for all that is good.

This year there is so much to look forward to and I can’t wait to see the places that my artwork takes me. I love the journey and my work demands that I always trust and keep an open heart.

My excitement for 2017 is palpable!  Mike and I are planning some adventures to Spain in the new year, and there are some exciting developments being dreamt which I can’t wait to share with you all. Some dates to look forward to are our Open Studios at the end of May and a solo exhibition in Brighton in the Spring….but many more to come, keep an eye on my diary. I hope to meet some of you along the way…

Merry Christmas from Yvonne, Mike and Family

So all that remains now is to say a huge big thank you to each and every one of you for the amazing support you have shown me over the past 12 months. All I have ever wanted to do is paint and to be given the chance to make my dream a reality is something I am eternally grateful for. I wish you and your families the most wonderful Christmas and joyful new year!

And to remember those experiencing unrest around the world, I leave you with the words of the late great David Bowie who we sadly lost this year, from his collaboration with Bing Crosby in 1982s “Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth”:

Peace on earth, can it be
Years from now, perhaps we’ll see
See the day of glory
See the day when men of good will
Live in peace, live in peace again

Every child must be made aware
Every child must be made to care
Care enough for his fellow man
To give all the love that he can

I pray my wish will come true
For my child and your child too
He’ll see the day of glory
See the day when men of good will
Live in peace, live in peace again

Peace on earth, can it be
Can it be

Blessings to you and your family for a wonderful heartwarming festive time,

Yvonne xxxxx
