A Beautiful Turning of the Seasons: Devon Open Studios!

The days are growing shorter, the air is getting crisp, and the hedgerows are heavy with berries. There’s a beautiful sense of abundance in the air, a quietening after a busy, bustling summer. This turning of the seasons is the perfect backdrop for Devon Open Studios, and I’m thrilled to be opening my workshop to you this September!

This year has been my busiest yet, and my studio is bursting with new work inspired by the sun-drenched Devon countryside. While you may have followed my journey from afar, there’s nothing quite like seeing the paintings in person, surrounded by the very landscape that inspires them. After a busy summer of growth, my September open studios have a special quality that aligns with the harvest and the quieting of nature.

I’ll have a wide selection of new work for you to browse, all inspired by the bountiful gifts of summer. If you missed out on my recent small collection, don’t worry! I’ll have plenty of small original oil paintings ready for Open Studios. These pieces are a burst of colour and joy that are kind to your wallet and perfect for adding a vibrant touch of wildflower meadow to your space – I also have a new collection of larger works emerging, so if you’re looking for something specific, don’t hesitate reach out ahead of time. In addition to my original oil paintings, I’ll also have my lovely selection of hand-embellished printed canvases and limited edition prints.

I’m opening my workshop for three wonderful weekends and some weekday dates in September. I’d love for you to drop in for a cup of tea and a chat. While I create most of my work in my small studio, nestled in a meadow along the estuary, the workshop is where many pieces find their finishing touches before heading to their forever homes.
